Wallet by Mint-Rail
Four outcomes,
one integration.
Take deposits where cards can't follow.
One tap deposits after seller verification.
One reconciliation, one report, one API.
Full control for great customer experience.
How it works
About a minute the first time. One tap after.
A customer wallet which they control, a seller that is licensed, a payment that is one tap.
-
Open their wallet
-
Fund it
-
Pay with a tap
Why Mint-Rail
Three things, one integration.
Conversion
Verified once, by the seller. Every deposit after that is one tap.
Control
Your address receives every payment. Sellers are a setting, so no single vendor owns your deposits.
Certainty
Complete when the chain says so, not when a provider does. Signed events, retried until you have them.
Integration
Three delightfully simple options.
Your secret key stays on your server. The customer's wallet is served from our origin and carries your request.
A link or a QR code
Mint a payment in the portal, show the QR on a screen, or send the link. The customer's phone does the rest.
https://mint-rail.com/pay/pay_0kx8f2hq9d3m
https://mint-rail.com/pay/pay_0kx8f2hq9d3m/qr
One script tag
Embed the payment on your own page - QR for desktop, inline on phones, and drive your UI from its events.
<script src="https://mint-rail.com/sdk/v1.js"></script>
<div id="pay"></div>
<script>
const w = Mint-Rail.mount('#pay', { payment: 'pay_…' })
w.on('paid', ({ payment }) => showTick(payment))
</script>
One API call
Mint from your server. The response carries the hosted page and its QR; completion arrives as a signed webhook.
curl https://mint-rail.com/api/v1/payments \
-H "Authorization: Bearer sk_…" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
-d '{"amount": 5000000, "currency": "USDC"}'
Step 1
Create an API key in the portal
Step 2
Mint a payment for an amount
Step 3
Show the page, the QR, or the embed
Step 4
Fulfil on the signed webhook

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the customer actually see?
Their own wallet, with your brand and the amount as a request in it. A customer with USDC taps pay and is done. A customer without buys it from a licensed seller, in the seller's own window, by card with 3-D Secure, then taps pay. Returning customers are recognised and pay in one tap.
Who verifies the customer?
The seller does, under its own policy, when the customer buys USDC. Mint-Rail never receives identity documents or card numbers. You continue to verify your own customers exactly as you do today.
Does Mint-Rail ever hold funds?
No. The customer's wallet is theirs: they see the balance, can keep it, send it elsewhere or take the keys with them. The settlement address is yours, and no address Mint-Rail controls ever holds value. Mint-Rail has no signing authority over any wallet, the only signature in the flow is the customer's.
Which stablecoins and networks?
USDC on Base today. Further assets and networks follow the corridors our merchants need, tell us where you operate and we'll tell you what we can cover.
What about chargebacks?
The card purchase is between the customer and the seller, in the seller's window, and the customer's statement says so. The payment to you is a stablecoin transfer confirmed on-chain, and once it is complete it is final. Our own fraud controls sit in front of the hand-off.
What does it cost?
A percentage of volume, with no set-up fee. We price against what you pay for cards in the same corridor today. Tell us the corridor and we'll give you numbers, not a rate card.
How long does integration take?
Zero code if you use the hosted page or a QR. An afternoon for a developer to mint from your server and fulfil on the webhook. The docs, an OpenAPI spec and a sandbox playground are in the portal.
Which countries?
Coverage follows our partners' licences, country by country. We work one corridor at a time with each merchant, so the honest answer starts with where your customers are.
Why not go direct to a provider?
You can. Then you build and run the wallet, the request, the on-chain confirmation, the webhooks and the reconciliation yourself, for one seller. Mint-Rail is that layer, with your brand on the request, over more than one seller, so your deposits survive any single vendor's change of policy.
Why does the customer need a wallet?
Because the USDC is the customer's until they pay you. That is what makes the purchase a purchase of an asset from a licensed seller, and the payment a payment from the customer to you. It is also what makes the second deposit one tap: the wallet is already theirs, at any merchant using Mint-Rail.
